Huddle is a complete teaching and learning programme for South Africa’s no fee and low fee public schools, where the need is greatest. What sets it apart: we work through the teacher, not around them, and we support that teacher with expert built materials, lesson video and training, so any teacher can deliver an excellent lesson, every day.

A South African nonprofit improving the quality of teaching and learning where it’s needed most.
We serve no fee and low fee public schools, the schools that teach most of South Africa’s children with the least resources. Huddle has worked alongside their teachers since 2023, growing from a small pilot into a team supporting classrooms across South Africa.

WHAT WE BELIEVE
It’s the pedagogy, not the content.
The teacher is the highest leverage point in any classroom, so we equip them, never bypass them. That conviction is our pedagogy: a complete instructional model, built by expert educators and delivered by the teacher who knows the class.

The teacher is the most effective lever for learning, so we make them excellent, rather than routing around them with a screen.
Structured, not scripted
Coherent sequencing and high quality materials remove the guesswork, freeing teachers to focus on their learners.
Blended by design
Huddle combines printed workbooks, video, devices and teacher support, using each where it works best. It's built for real classrooms, offline first, whether or not there's a projector, connectivity or a device per learner. No single resource carries the quality.

Because excellence is engineered into the model, it travels from one classroom to the next.

Huddle Education NPC owns Huddle Pty Ltd, 100%. Philanthropy and CSI fund the training, equipment and fixed costs of the work.

Meet the team
Huddle is built by a growing team of educators, technologists and operators, most of us former teachers, united by an obsession with quality teaching and learning. Founded and led by Sarah Binos. Full profiles coming soon.
What holds us together: we do what’s best for learning, we’re honest about what we don’t yet know, and we treat teachers as professionals.
A NOTE FROM OUR CO-FOUNDER
Great teaching changes lives, and getting better at teaching is hard. We don’t believe in silver bullets. We believe that if we work slowly, deliberately and carefully on the right things, teaching improves, learning improves, and children get the chance they deserve. That’s the work, one lesson at a time.
